Who this fits
This full-time inpatient role suits a psychiatrist who can manage a caseload of 20-25 patients daily. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with on-call coverage from Friday at 5pm to Monday at 7am one weekend per month. One or more years of post-graduate practice is preferred.

We are currently seeking to add a Full-Time Psychiatrist to join our team!
About the role
This role is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

RiverWoods Behavioral Health is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our team provides compassionate, high-quality counseling, therapy, medication, and guidance to patients seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.
Caseload: 20-25 patients daily
Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday
On Call Schedule: FR 5pm - MO; 7am 1 weekend per month
Compensation: 1099 $5,000 monthly stipend
Responsibilities- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility
- Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations
- Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders
- Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner
- Maintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures
Education/Experience/Skills Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIRED
- One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred
- Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate
Licenses/Certifications
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatry
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
