From the recruiter

We are seeking a Board Certified Ophthalmologist to provide locum coverage for a busy ophthalmology practice. This opportunity includes a mix of clinic and surgical procedures in a well supported outpatient setting. The practice is seeking a productive provider who is comfortable managing a high volume of clinic visits and performing ophthalmologic procedures.

The ideal schedule is two weeks on and two weeks off, though the facility is open to discussing other coverage arrangements depending on availability.

The physician will provide a combination of clinic visits and surgical procedures in a busy ophthalmology practice. During the first week of the rotation the provider will focus primarily on procedures and surgical cases, while the second week will focus on clinic follow ups and patient management.

This is a high volume practice that values efficiency and productivity. Providers should be comfortable seeing a minimum of four clinic patients per hour and performing 12 to 14 procedures or surgeries per day when scheduled for surgical coverage. Two experienced medical assistants support the physician to ensure efficient clinic and procedural workflows.
