What you'll do
- Treat patients from 6 months through older adulthood, addressing acute illness, prevention, chronic conditions and general family medicine
- Perform appropriate in-office procedures such as incision and drainage, skin biopsies and suturing under local anesthesia
- Provide wound care and use on-site phlebotomy, lab testing and accessible imaging to support patient care
- Bring additional clinical services to the practice when you have a skillset it does not currently offer
What you bring
- You hold Family Medicine board certification
- You have an active South Carolina medical license or are eligible to obtain one, plus DEA registration

This full-time role suits experienced physicians and new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds; training and support are available. The schedule is 4.5 days per week with no weekends. The position is based in Columbia, SC.

Our long established family medicine practice in Columbia, SC is seeking a skilled and compassionate additional Family Medicine Physician to join our team. Our practice takes great pride in delivering high-quality primary care services by creating access and services for our community of patients.
Scope of Practice:
- Patient Population/Demographics: Serving a broad community ranging from pediatric patients (as young as 6 months) through adolescents, young families, and older adults, including a robust Medicare population.
- Common Pathologies/Conditions: Management of acute illnesses, routine preventive care, chronic disease management, wound care, and general family medicine concerns.
- Procedures: In-office minor procedures as appropriate under local anesthesia (e.g., incision and drainage, skin biopsies, sutures). On-site support includes a full phlebotomist, in-house lab testing, and convenient access to imaging services.
- We Welcome Additional Services: If you bring a skillset yet to be offered, we will embrace it in our complement of services.
- Schedule: 4.5 day work week, no weekends
Qualifications:
- Certification: Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Experience: Open to both experienced providers and promising new graduates with strong clinical backgrounds; training and support are available.
- Licensure: Active or eligible for a South Carolina state medical license and DEA registration.
